Description

One of my favourite customs from my collection, mainly because of how I came to make it in the first place:

I discovered a very forlorn looking NER Command Wolf Irvine sitting in a 99p bag of tat at my local Oxfam shop.
On first appearences it didn't look to be in very good shape. At least one of it's legs was missing, as was the large dorsal gun.
It's so sad to see a Zoid in that fashion so I bought it! Sitting in the car, waiting for Dad, I decided to see just how bad off it was... it was worse than I thought:

Wolfy Pre-Customization

The gun wasn't just missing, the whole peg had been snapped off and both its smoke dischargers were also missing! Also, whoever had built it was inexperienced with building Zoids. I could tell because they'd neglected to remove the flash (The part left over after removing the part from it's frame)
Honestly, I didn't know what to do with it when I got it home, until I sat there and look at it a while...

After that I was struck with inspiration and this is the finished result (Still needs a little re-touch of paint though)

Total Zoids used in Custom:
  • NER Command Wolf Irvine (Main body)
  • NER Shadow Fox (Front two legs, inc feet and shoulder armour and black caps)
  • 2 NER Zaber Fangs (Grey part on the back of the neck and guns on tail)
  • NER Shield Liger (Missile Launchers on shoulder armour)
  • NER Blade Liger (Small long thin part inbetween the two big guns)
  • Z-Builders Ray Saurer (Big guns)
  • NER Sledge Head (Small gun on chest)
  • BLOX Buster Eagle (Connectors which make the legs posable)
  • NAR Berserk Fury (Not noticable, but I cut off two parts from a Fury's tail armour to cover up the holes left by the missing smoke dischargers!)

Very nice. It conveys a simple-aesthetically pleasing first appearance that draws you in to the true mount of love and detail that went into building it. The story behind was touching as well.
